CHAPMAN) -no wife signs -- lets Erasmus ALLEN of Rowan Co NC have 200 acres
next to ?? Bryan, Michael Wilson, John Hill and ALLEN CHAPMAN, for £150,
witnessed by William Thornton and BENJAMIN CHAPMAN and proved by the latter
in May 13. (This is part of the 640 acres granted to the said deceased JAMES
CHAPMAN and devolved to said JOHN CHAPMAN as heir-at-law.)
Benjamin Chapman is the oldest in this group and could possibly be the
eldest brother of Erasmus and William:
