Steve,
Okay, bear with me here- my geography of the Coventry area is not perfect, particularly as
a lot of names seem to be used for the same places. I know, for instance, that I see
Exhall, Longford, and Foleshill all used for the same general area outside Coventry
depending on the date, and I basically understand their location and general relationship
to one another. I'm hazier on the location of kenilworth and bell's green. I'm
aware that there are two David Chaplins, one 1839 and one 1840- and although I may have
the years mixed up for birth of both, I don't think I have the familys mixed up.
"My" David Chaplin was born in Exhall/Longford 1839/1840, son of Thomas Chaplin
(b 1788 Exhall/Longford) and Ann Warner (b. abt 1803, probably in Walcott, L). I do have
another David Chaplin b 1839/1840 in my tree as well- David Chaplin (b Foleshill
1839/1840) son of William Chaplin (b 1805 Longford) and Mary Goode (b 1805, Longford). I
presume then, that "your" David Chaplin is yet a thi!
rd David Chaplin b 1839/1840? A number of my early Chaplins were associated with the
Salem Baptist Church in Longford. Who were the parents of "your" David?
Regards
Robert
