Hi Jacie
Please accept my apology for the delay in replying.
I am pleased to confirm that John Metson, born Toppesfield 1711, married
Thomasine CHAPLIN [but I have no dates or places for her, apart from their
marriage in Stoke by Clare in 1732. Their children included William 1734,
ROBERT 1737, Edward 1742, Susannah 1744, Elizabeth 1751.
John's parents are equally elusive, being John Metson and Sarah Midson. Both
are known to have been born before 1695. Their children included Mary 1709,
JOHN 1711, Thomas 1714, Edward 1717. We are all searching for more on this
family.
I hope that this helps.
Regards
Steve

Hi, my mother was Lydia Metson and her father was John Edward Metson and I
have looked up our family tree and find a John Metson 1711-1758 but do not
have the name of his wife although I do have a son Robert 1737 and I am
wondering if your Thomasina is the missing link. John was baptised in
Toppesfield on 19 August 1711.
