That, too, is speculation and is at least 3 years too early because Samuel's daughter
Honor was baptized in Berry Pomeroy on 8 May 1638. At the time that statement was
written, not all of the baptisms of Samuel Chapin's children had been found.

The name of the ship seems lost to history. I've tried to research that myself and
haven't found it. However, we do have a good idea as to WHEN he came:
"This family sailed to America in 1635 and settled in Roxbury, Mass before moving to
