Subject: [InMontgo] Wilkinson obit - Jeff please add - Peg,
Waynetown Despatch 4-30-1948 - Crawfordsville - George B. Wilkinson,
83, retired Montgomery County farmer, died Friday monring at his home,
112 Simpson Street. He had been ill with a heart ailment three years.
Born Aug 14, 1864 in Fountain County, Mr. Wilkinson was the son of
James and Eliza Wert Wilkinson. He married Della Chapin Nov 2, 1890.
He was a member of the 1st Christian Church and masonic Lodge
of Waynetown. Mr. Wilkinson who formerly was engaged in farming
near Waynetown moved to Crawfordsville in 1919.
Surviving are the widow, two sons, Dr. Arthur Wilkinson of Detroit,
and Dorris Wilkinson of Wayentown; a daughter, Mrs. Ola Perry of near
Waynetown; one brother, Joe Wilkinson, of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Guy
Livengood of Waynetown and 5 grandchildren, Mary Ann, Sally Jean and
William Wilkinson of Detroit; Donald of Wayentown and James Perry of near
Wayentown. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Wilkinson
who was killed in Germany while serving with the Army Air Force.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the
Hunt & Son Funeral Home with burial at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Rev. Paul Million of the 1st Christian Church officiated.
