This line is interesting, as it appears that they moved from
Springfield, MA, to Enfield, CT, for a couple of generations, and
then moved back. They then bounce between Vermont and Massachusetts
for a couple of generations.
The details (if you're still reading at this point): The first
member of this line to have been born outside of Massachusetts was
Eliphelet (1741 - 1788). He was born in Enfield, CT, where the
family appeared to stay for one generation, with Eliphelet's grandson
Dennis (1803 - 1874) being born back in Springfield. The move to
back Springfield appears to have occurred around 1800, as a couple of
Dennis' younger sibilngs were born in Enfield. They don't stay long
in Springfield, however, as Dennis ultimately dies in Hartland, VT,
after having spend some time (1870 Census record) in West Hawley, MA.
