Hello,
I have a Tirzah Chapin in my files as well. I wonder if there is some
connection, I don't see the given name Tirzah very often. (not sure I've
ever seen it before other than my ancestor)
My Tirzah was sister to my GrGrGr Grandfather Gordon Chapin and their
parents were :
Charles Chapin b, 1742 and Mary Smith b. 1742.
Tirzah Chapin
Born Oct 4, 1783 in possibly Middlefield, Hampshire, MA - but definately MA
married on Dec. 17, 1818 in MA
John Talcott Mack b. Aug 23, 1781
Do you have any Smith connections ........... maybe Tirzah was a family
name from that side of the family.

Message Board Post:
I have a Tirzah Chapin with a birthdate approx.1815 with place-of-birth as
Massachusetts, according to Censuses - we all know how they can vary from
decade to decade. This woman married Chester Filkins in the early 1830's;
they had 4 daughters: Delia, Sarah, Emma and Marietta (a/k/a Merretta).
Any chance of connection?
Anyone else reading this msg have my ancestor among their lines? Thanks.
