Montague,
Who was your father and how do you fit in the tree? Where do you live now? My
husband's family is from Iowa but we live in Oklahoma. I would love to take a trip to
the Bernardstown,MA and the Castleton, VT area and do some poking around. As I understand
it, there are a number of the Warner family members buried in the cemetary in PA. Kind of
wierd isn't it? Born in MA, supposedly married in MA and VT and then moved to PA. Why?
Who knows. I think there is something amiss with the date of 1812 somehow. If Thankful
died in 1802 and married Gratia in 1802 and then married Rebecca Ackley in 1812, that
would make more sense. Especially since you said Thankful and Joel only had 1 child, Sarah
Burke Warner, who was born in 1799. Then the birth dates of the other children would fit
with children with Gratia....Don't you think we need to locate the records on Thankful
and then we can piece things together? I couldn't find anything on Gratia anywhere.
And I thought it was wierd that Jo!
el and Rebecca had 2 girls and one was named for his former wife and one was named for
the current wife?? I'll keep poking around and posting messages and see what I can
find. You said you were old, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? My husband
is 58, and his father Carl Warner was 85 when he passed in Dec.
Linda
