I've "rescued" two old photographs of Rev. & Mrs. WETHERBEE which were
taken
at the F. Glenton Studio in Nashua, New Hampshire. The photographs appear
to have been taken sometime in the 1880's with the couple appearing to be in
their 50's at the time. Thanks to the help of a WETHERBEE Family Researcher
I believe that these may be photographs of Rev. Charles WETHERBEE Jr. and
his wife Cornelia Antoinette CHAPIN.
Rev. Charles WETHERBEE Jr. was b. 10 June 1832 in Walpole, NH to parents
Charles Thomas WETHERBEE and Nancy HYDE. He attended the Kimball Union
Academy from 1850-1852 and graduated from Middlebury College in 1856. He
then went onto the Union Theological Seminary attending from 1858-1859 and
was ordained at North Cornwall, CT on 1 Sept 1859.
Rev. Charles WETHERBEE married Cornelia Antoinette CHAPIN on 19 Aug 1856 in
New Haven, VT. Cornelia Antoinette CHAPIN was b. 24 Feb 1834 in New Haven,
VT to parents Myron CHAPIN and Olive BENEDICT. Together Charles & Cornelia
had 3 children, Etta Chapin WETHERBEE b. 21 Oct 1863 in Cornwall, CT; Addie
Augusta WETHERBEE b. 19 Aug 1865 in Cornwall, CT and died 6 Nov 1866 in
Winsted, CT; Charles Burton WETHERBEE b. 13 Nov 1867 in Winsted, CT.
Rev. Charles WETHERBEE died 29 May 1887 in Nashua, NH.
I'm hoping to locate someone from their family so that these wonderful old
photographs can be returned to the rightful place with family. If you are a
member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
