VERNON, Vt. -- Mildred E. (Chapin) Richotte, 91, formerly of Greenfield,
a resident of Vernon, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at the nursing facility
following a period of declining health.
A native of Yonkers, N.Y., she was born on August 21, 1916
to Arthur and Rosalyn (Emmette) Chapin.

Mildred is lovingly remembered by her devoted grandson and
granddaughter-in-law, Robert A. Richotte, Jr., and his wife Bonnie,
of Vernon, who were her caregivers. Additionally she leaves her loving
great-granddaughters: Kerry Ann Mulverhill and her husband, Chad, and
their son, Dane of Vernon, Vt. and Jennifer Lee Richotte of Vernon.
Mildred is also survived by her stepdaughter, Sally Gore of Wilmington,
Vt., and her daughter-in-law, Janet Richotte LeClaire of Winchester,
N.H. She was predeceased by her husbands: Arthur Richotte in 1950,
Alexander Lukow in 1994; her son, Robert Arthur Richotte in 1978;
her grandson, Ricky Richotte in 1982, and by her brothers,
Edward and Charles Chapin.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the
family following cremation with inurnment to take place in the St.
Anne's Cemetery, Turners Falls, MA, with the Rev. T. McKeown,
interim pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Greenfield to
officiate.
