Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Any mention of town? What year? Any connection with other siblings? Do her children look Native American? Please write back!

Born 1844-45, married to Orrin Merryfield in 1865-66 possibly in PA, lived in Ottawa, Ks on 1870 census, three children,
Albert 3, William 1, Nancy 1/12. Orrin marrys again to Lydia Chamberlin in 1876, but no trace of them till 1900 in Oregon. Where did Adelade go? Did she remarry? What about the three children? Help!!!

Mary Chapin Harley passed away on November 1, 2003 after a short illness. She was born on May 12, 1923 and was raised in Silver City, New Mexico, the only child of Nelle Birch and Dr. Wayne Chapin, leading dentist in Silver City. She graduated from Silver City High School where she was a varsity cheerleader. Mary later attended the University of New Mexico and was a member of Chi Omega sorority. Subsequently married Joseph B. Harley, and while he was at sea in the Navy, Mary worked at a local bank. After the war, she was active in the community and an early member of the Junior League and PEO. She was also a member of St. John's Cathedral, where she was married; and a member of the Daughters of the King. For many years Mary managed the gift shop at Baldridge Lumber, which was noted for its fine gifts. Later, Mary lived in Santa Fe where she worked at the Nambe Mills store and the State Legislature. She returned to Albuquerque and resided at Acantilado Vista until her death. !
She is survived by her son, Wayne Chapin Harley, and his wife, Debbie; granddaughter, Lesla Andrews and her husband, Robert; and great grandson, Corbin; and granddaughter, Joelle Harley. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel with The Reverend Ned Ross, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Cathedral or to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, Attn: Lorraine West. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. Thanks for the reply. We have been looking for Riley - for over 20 years. Mike was into genealogy long before the inter-net. Do you have ANY clue form family past - about any part of New York roots ---- OR perhaps connection to Canada? Seems the phrase French Cnandian was used in our past. Mike has interviewed most of our connections and we are stuck with an approximate bith date of Riley about 1810 in NY.He then appears in Ohio about 1830- which is why we all exist. Let me know - anything you know about Louisa. I did go on the Mullen page and type in Native American/ Indian and saw a possible connection for you with TINA Czopek -miller/muller connection. Let me know!

Thanks for your reply. I don't have any pictures of Louisa. I do have pictures of some of Louisa and Martin Mullen's children. I am so glad Mike posted the messages. I thought the native american part was in the Mullen line.

Jessie Leroy Chapin was the son of William Riley Chapin b - born 1846- Worthington Ohio---son of Riley Monroe born about 1810 we believe New york - married to our Native American roots!
