Hello Chant Listers,
I have just had a day at the FRC and I think I may have identified my Albert Thomas CHANT.
He was listed as Thomas Albert CHANT, the birth was registered in the June quarter of
1877 in Taunton (which is what I have believed all along). Can any other person claim
this Thomas Albert, if not I will order the certificate and hope his father is William.
I think I also found his father William's marriage in the September quarter of 1866 in
Bedminster, likewise can anybody claim this marriage or know who he married, if not I will
probably order this one as well and hopefully he might have married 'Jane'.
So far then, I think the story goes like this -
William Chant born 1836 in Stoke Under Hamdon, (son of Job & Martha Gaylard) married
'Jane' in Bedminster in 1866. In 1867 they had a son William Charles born 1867 in
Bedminster and Baptised in the Parish of Taunton St James. Then they had a daughter Emma
Jane born 3rd of June 1870 and baptised 3 Oct 1875 in Taunton St James Parish Church and
then they had Thomas Albert (Albert Thomas) in the June quarter of 1877 in Taunton. Then
the father William died at the age of 41 years while he was living at King St, Taunton and
was buried on the 19 Dec 1877.
Can any one out there help me with any of the above ???
Kind Regards
