This is an interesting find.
As some may be aware, myself and Sean are searching for Samuel Chant
son of George Chant and Mary Rogers baptised in Sherborne in 1782
Anyone know this fellows origins?

I, Samuel Chant, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following
List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered
by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains
to the best of my knowledge and belief a just and true account of all the
Passengers received on board the Sloop Frederick whereof I am master from
St. Thomas. So help me God. (signed) Saml Chant. Sworn to, the 25 January
1820, before me Jno ?earney* DC
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Danish Sloop
Frederick, whereof Samuel Chant is master, from St. Thomas. Burthen 90 tons.

which they severally belong.
