Hello Hillary,
No problems. If I can help thats good.
I found your great-grandfather, Thomas W Chant at:
2, Ingoldisthorpe Grove, Camberwell.
He is a listed as a 18 yr old warehouseman, lodging with the Hyde
family. He is listed as beng born at Taunton. Do you want a full list of
the others in the house ?
On first look I could not find either James or Emma. Was she married by
1871 ?
Regards,
Sean

Hello Listers,
I now have easy access to the 1871 census for Somerset, which might
interest a few people. So if you want any lookups please ask away.
Regards,
Sean

Dear Sean
I wonder if you could have a look for the following in the 1871 census:
Emma CHANT born Taunton 1851
Thomas Whitemore CHANT born Taunton 1852 (my great grandfather)
James Whitemore CHANT born Horsington 1853
In 1861 they were in Langport with their mother Elizabeth, she died in
1864. Their father James is in London in 1871 with his second wife
Rebecca - you found them for me - but I have had no joy in finding out
where these 3 were. After 1871 I have found them in London, but have
this gap in their lives.
Best wishes and thanks for all your hard work
