Sean,
All I know is that he's on the crew list for the Croesus Southampton to
Sydney voyage in 1854. My ancestor and cousin sailed on the same ship
the year after but he might not have been part of the crew by then.
Andy.

Hello Andy,
I have noticed that entry myself and thought about it. To be honest I am
not sure who it could be. Other listers will know we have discussed the
Thomas Chant who lived at Temora, NSW during the latter years of the
19th century. He died aged 77 yrs old at Temora during 1907 of unknown
parents. Up until now no one has been able to place this Thomas in the
grand scheme of things. Is it a possibility it could be him ? Do we know
if he remained in Australia or returned to England ?
Regards,
Sean
