Re:
Sarah CHANT arrived Port Philip Bay, Victoria 15.1.1841 on the "Ferguson"
15.1.1841... She left Plymouth 25.9.1840. Sarah is the daughter of
George CHANT 1771 & Thamar (Tamar) nee MUSTON. Sarah was born 20.7.1817
in west chinnock, Somerset. She married 3.7.1844 in St.James C.of
E.Melbounre to Joseph MORGAN. Sarah's brother Isaac Muston CHANT
arrived Moreton Bay in 1857 on the "Parsee".
I have recorded a twin brother of Sarah as Ishmael Chant and in the 1851
census he is living in Middle Chinnock with the address Baudehaunt or
Baudechaunt - the writing is a bit ambiguous - does anyone know the
correct spelling (and possibly the meaning?)
