Hello Janette,
Yes one or two of those you have are mine, the rest I will look into. It amazes me what a
small world we live in, and the further you go back with your family tree, the more chance
you have of being twice related to someone.
I already have this with my brother-in-law.
The Albert Thomas Chant who married Lillian Charlotte Stacey in Taunton - moved to London
shortly after a had a daughter Violet Olive Gladys's in 1904.
Albert was the son of William Chant born Stoke Sub Hamdon in 1836 and married Jane
Goldsworthy, he died a few months after Albert was born, so Albert or (Thomas Albert as he
was named at birth) never knew his father. I have never been able to find what became of
Jane Chant nee Goldsworthy. I had found a Jane Chant marrying in Taunton after 1881, but
seem to have mislaid the exact year, next time I am in Taunton I will have to seek out
this record and see if she was a widow.
Thanks once again for the info, I will keep them in my 'folder'..........
Kind Regards from Linda Collie in Hadleigh, Suffolk, England
