Funny you should mention Lambeth - I was going through the 1851 census
index for Lambeth last night and found some Chant's.
In HO107/1573 at folio 495
In HO107/1574 at folio 302
These are both in the Kennington 1st and 2nd subdistricts
In HO107/1572 at folio 696
this is in the Church 2nd subdistrict.
There is no more detail than that but hope it helps someone

Karen

Hi Listers.
Is their anyone on list with Lambeth area Chant interests?
This List is very quiet. No one got any new info, other Chant
details they wish to Post. How about you newbies give us
some idea of your interests. The Mudford list is going
great guns. Some with Chant Mudford connections in West
Chinnock have joined. The discussions are flowing freely.
Currently I am trying to assist a fellow member with Marnhull
in Dorset Chant lines. Three Galpin family connections to Chant
exist there and I have recieved some info for those lines.
Also does anyone know anything for EW Chant and Sons, a garage
in Stoke circa 1920's? Seeking details of Hellier family
connections to Chant and info on line of Harriet Chant and
Christopher Hellier circa 1800's and 1900's.
regards
