Carly Chant has so far progressed with the following
Great grandfather is Charles Chant a Private
in the West Kent Regiment 1914? address on birth
certificate of son was ? wife Rose (Smith?)
five children known. Charles not thought to be any
listed in 1881 Census for London but possibly
Charles son of Joseph Chant of Oborne.
1 Grandfather was Thomas William Chant he was born
on the 3rd of August 1914 in Marylebone - West
London/Died 16 June 1986. Grandmother was called
Dorothy AE Harding they married 1939 in Marylebone.
He had around four siblings
2 William George Chant he was born in 1920. Gunner
in RA and was killied in 1945 he is buried in
Malaysia (Commonweath War Graves website would give
details) also may have had another brother which
died in ww2.

an address which I am going to look up on.
It doesnt say where he is from or when he was born
so I'll see if i can find that out from war
records.
Also I could not find his marriage to Rose Smith
in the family records office?
