Greetings list
Well it has been quiet here for a while.
New members included. Can only assume we
are all busy searching other lines etc.
Am heading north to WA outback for a few
weeks to warm up. Perth a bit cold for me
this time of year after living in the North
for three years. 0-18 too cold for my blood.
even wouldn't mind 48 degrees in Feb in the
north temps again but without the humidity.
Mild high 20's low 30's at moment. Usual
southerly exodus north to places like Broome
which is great this time of year.
I would like to see a bit more activity and
some postings from our new members before I
go. Progress made, snippets found etc.
Feel free to repost your lines if you like.
30 Year Chant researcher David Chant has as
yet not replied to me. I can only assume my
mail went by sea taking six weeks to get to
the UK. Has/is taking a while for David to
reply/ copy info etc and mail is returning by
Sea taking six weeks. So might be a while yet
before we have a response.
Will continue to search out Chant researchers.
Have been delving into very early Chant occurances
in Dorset, Somerset etc to see if I can find how
they might link. Interesting but unlike obvious
Stoke sub Hamden, West Chinnock etc lines makes the
puzzle look harder than at first seemed.
Also of note Devon also has early 1600 AD Chant
entries. Something for those chasing Wiltshire
lines to consider for missing branches. No one has
posted Devon or Lincolnshire Chant lines though
they are old there. Interesting.
If I can access the net via a internet cafe or
something might pop in and say Hi. Going Monday
so online till then.
Regards
Michael Cheeseman
