Hi Sean: Probably not related to Joseph Kingwell Chant, but you never know
where these name connections will lead. A Joseph Chant, victualler, died in
Hornsey, Middlesex in 1795 (information source is a will). Not much
information in the will, but he does mention his brothers Francis and Thomas
Chant. Also mentions Thomas' wife, Hannah and their daughter Sarah Chant.
It looks as if both Thomas & Hannah died prior to Joseph.
Hope this helps someone. I have not connected Joseph's family with my
Middlesex John Chant yet (he died 1804), but it looks promising given that
Joseph and John Chant were both victuallers in the same general area at the
same time. Joseph was in Hornsey & John in Shoreditch - assuming that those
districts are close to one another, that is.
Regards, Jacqueline

Hello Listers,
Found this in an old posting from Linda Collie. Does she still
subscribe ?
Joseph Kingwell Chant, of Bournemouth late of Chancery Lane, Middsx,
died 31/5/1888, left £144 Ex's was wife Mary Chant.
Is anyone connected with Joseph's family ? Has anyone looked at him
through the various census returns etc ? If not it might be worth doing.

Not sure about the 1823 baptism of a Robert at Bower Hinton - thought
that was a John with no parents listed.
Onesiphorus and Susannah had:
Joseph Kingwell,
Louisa,
Betsey Kingwell,
Oliver,
Ann Kingwell,
John Kingwell,
Mary Kingwell and
Sarah Kellaway.
