Hallo Janette
Not sure whether you want to amend your records but the date and place of
baptism of Sarah Whiting Chant daughter of George Chant (George b. 1771 West
Chinnock) and his first wife Sarah nee Whiting and the burial of baby Sarah
Whiting Chant and her Mother Sarah Chant which I posted earlier are
definitely from the actual Parish records of Middle Chinnock and as I
mentioned to Beryl there is no actual notation in the Parish records that
baby Sarah Whiting Chant was buried in the same grave where her Mother was
buried a fortnight earlier, although one would expect that to be the case.
I dont know what other Listers think or have in their records but perhaps
the Sarah that you have listed as being baptised in Cannington in 1775
belongs to a totally different couple also named George and Sarah.
Regards
Christine

Subject: [CHANT] Re Sarah Chant nee Whiting
Hello Beryl & Christine & others,
Re Sarah CHANT nee WHITING married to George
CHANT. I have recorded that Sarah was chris.24.9.1775 in Cannington,
Somerset which according to my UK atlas is about 4 miles away from
Bridgwater, Somerset. I also have a note that Sarah Whiting Chant their
daughter was buried with her mother.
Regards,
Janette in Oz
