Thanks Beryl
Already knew Wilfred Chant entered the US via Ellis Island for some years
now.

Hi all ...
With reference to the above, I have that Wilfred migrated to the US
during 1911 aged 50. It appears from Social Security records in USA
that Wilfred lived to age 100.
This information came from Sean Leyland a long time ago.
Regards,
Beryl Renton

Thanks Christine
I'm determined to find English living relatives and it's likely with
info
from a newspaper "in memorium" notices will assist determine if he had
children or contact with other family. No births located 1915-1926
BDM's
makes me think maybe they didn't have children though I was told they
had
descendants by someone, which now seems odd.
Reginald Frank Chant b 1889 son of Wilfred and Sarah Chant of Sherborne
married Bessie Childs in 1915. Reginald's father Wilfred died in Poole
in
1948
and Reginald in 1971. Reginald's brother Wilfred Harold Chant has been
discussed before went to the US in 1909 via Ellis Island.
regards
Michael
