Hi Nancy
Beryl's George Chant was at Bradford Abbas by 1794 in Dorset and born
possibly West Chinnock circa 1767. Connecting to West Chinnock is uncertain
as Bradford Abbass is near a number of Chant family centres
including Sherborne in Dorset. West Chinnock looks the most likely at the
moment.
George Chant of West Chinnock who married Ann was born circa 1799
I have not researched Hallett but they may be related.

Subject: [CHANT] Chant questions
Hello Chant researchers~
Just returned from a long weekend away and found several Chant messages in
my mailbox. Very exciting! One is a bit confusing. John Chant sent info on
George and Ann nee Hallett. Beryl has a George and Mary Hallett about the
same time. Are they related closely?
By any chance is Chistine Ellis a descendent of Nellie Chant? Nellie was my
grandfather's sister.
I will be leaving for the summer in a week or so and will have to change my
address. Don't know what it will be yet. I'll do the unsubscribe/resubscribe
thing as soon as I find out.
Hope everyone is having a nice summer. We are getting baked.
Regards,
Nancy Quinn
