Great work John
You have done the right things and got plenty of evidence to back up your
lines. I guess now you are looking at Parish registers and the IGI as a
guide for Chant in Lincolnshire for Grimsby and surrounding areas.
As your John Chant aged 25,26,27 in 1851, so born 1824-6 at Grimsby was
before
civil registration which started in 1837. So the Parish register for Grimsby
needs researching it appears unless you already have some hits through the
IGI?
Anyone see a connection to John's Chant family?
regards
Michael Cheeseman.
