Hello Jacqueline,
Your Mary Ann Chant did just make on the 1891 census. She was at 56,
Norton Rd, Hove. It makes quite interesting reading
Mary Anne Chant: Head, aged 48, living on own means, born ? Essex
Fanny J L Chant: niece, aged 34, no occupation, born Islington
Annie E Hack, visitor, aged 13, born Hammersmith
Clara Gosling,: companion, aged 46, born ? Essex
Maria Poole: servant, aged 28, housemaid, born Southampton
Elizabeth J Poole, aged 26, cook, born Southampton
Hopes this helps. I will get on to the other queries asap.
Regards,
Sean Leyland

Sean: Thank you for your kind offer to do lookups in the 1891 census.
I
don't have many actual addresses, but I have some possible ones. If your
1891 census is searchable by name, there are a couple of others I'd like
to know about as well. If not, please don't bother with it - it would be
like looking for a needle in a haystack. The people I am interested in
are:
Mary Ann Chant, aged 49. She died in Hove, Sussex in June of 1891, but
she may have made it into the census. It would be lovely to find out
whether there were others in the household at the time. I think her
address was probably 56 Norton Road, Hove, Sussex.
Ernest Edward Chant - he may have been at Woodford Green, Essex.
Fanny Jessie Louise Chant, aged 35. I think she may have been visiting
MaryAnn Chant in Hove in 1891, but not sure.
William Walter Goldsmith, possible at 1033 ?Ackham? Road, Stoke
Newington, Middlesex.
Percy Chant, aged 25 - no idea, but possibly living with his brother
Ernest.
Thanks again for the offer, and please don't go to any trouble if it is
not an easy matter. Best, Jacqueline Douglas, Canada

Hello Listers,
Sorry to see the list dormant. Just repeating my offer from a while
back. If anyone wants look-ups on the 1891 census please ask.
Also look-ups on offer for the US 1870; 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930

Unlike other lists, this was an active list.

Sean
