Hello Carly and John,
I think I have found your family....thanks to John and his hints from
the 1901 Census: I have the following on the 1891 census.
76, Richmond Rd, Marylebone,
William Chant, Head aged 46 born Wiltshire, bacon drier
Catherine Chant, wife aged 48 born North Wales
George W Chant, son aged 21 born Borough, London, general labourer
Lizzie Chant, daughter aged 17 born Borough, London, working as a box
maker
John Chant, son aged 14 born Lambeth, London, van boy\
Harry Chant, son aged 9 born Lambeth, scholar
James Chant, son aged 12 born Lambeth, scholar
Charley Chant, son aged 6, born Marylebone
This certainly nails this lot I think. I was looking for Charles as
opposed to Charley.
Should be able to find them on the 1881 census now.
Regards,
Sean
