Listers,
Just in case anybody notices William CHANT of St. Edmund Salisbury chr. 1804 (in my line)
and makes a connection as below, this is NOT the Yorkshire William - my William appears in
the 1851, 1861and 1871census' for Homington Wiltshire with his 2nd wife and children
(in 1841 he buried his first wife in Downton Wilts but the 1841 Census for Downton has not
survived).

G'Day listers
I would like you all to welcome David Chant a new researcher
with interests in Lancashire and Yorkshire at present as well
as trying to find the Origins to his Chant line. David is new
to researching family history and any help provided is welcome.
Anyone able to add info, help with Manchester or East Yorkshire Cenus
records for Howden, or Relevant Parish Registers for either area
either by themselves or by tapping into your network of contacts
would be appreciated. I know John Chant will be interested in two
of David's great Uncles listed below taken from the CWGC site. The
origin of two more Chant men on that site now better known.
The following is a descendancy listing I have drawn up based
on data from David, some of the UK Censuses, IGI sources,
CWGC website, FreeBDM etc
