Mr William Chant, 84 yrs, arrived on the Olympus 1842, He was connected
to Motueka from the very foundation of that settlement.
(Olympus has William Chant, 25, gen labourer, Eliza, 21 yrs wife, and
Ellen, child, infant - embarked Deptford 13 June 1842, sailed Gravesend
16 Jun 1842, arrived Nelson 28 Oct 1842)
