Yes that is correct. Her father was the Henry Chant non boat builder. Her
brother was Joseph Victor Roy Chant whom i queried a month or 2 ago.

Grant I am 99.9% convinced that Thomas Chant d. 1907 at Temora is
your Thomas. I have been for a couple of years. The fact that his
death cert does not state his parents is a further suggestion that
his "second" family probably had no idea or connections with those
left behind in SA.
Does your Ruby Chant descend from the SA branch of Thomas's line ?
