I agree with JFCHANT that the 1889 marriage of William Roberts (variously listed as a
Printer/printers assistant/printers labourer) and Elizabeth Willmot (Father Charles) looks
as if it is the one you are after.
I don't know if you already have, but if it were my research I would certainly be
ordering one of the other five birth certificates to check what the maiden name for the
mother is listed as. Who was the informant on the 1905 birth of George Henry?
Stranger things have happened and it is possible that for some reason an error has been
made in the maiden name of the mother on the 1905 birth certificate.
I could be wrong but think it is possible that it is the childrens' Grandmother who
was a Chant and was one of the witnesses at the 1889 marriage. Sarah Chant married Charles
Wilmot in 1872 - her father is listed as James Chant and there is a Sarah Chant daughter
of James( who was also Printer), so could be the link.
(My apologies but did send last night but didn't use the system correctly so
doesn't show up on the Ancestry board which I assume is where you posted your original
enquiry.)
