Jean.
Yes, I should have given you more information and I even gave you the wrong
name!!! It is Noah S. Channell b 1837/38. He married Mary Crickard 1867 in
Randolph Co. I have this information -- He was a farmer near Huttonsville.
He was a Confederate soldier and was captured near Winchester. Son John was
a groceryman at Beverly and Ignatius was a teacher. [History of Randolph
Co, Maxwell]
Mary was the d/o John Crickard and Mary Elizabeth Heater.
Thanks a bunch
Billie Jo

Dear Billie,
Can you give me some dates and places? If he married a Crickard he has
to have been in southern Randolph, but there are more than one Samuel.
The Channells were not original with family names. I about went nuts
until I found out where Samuel who married the Hornbeck fit in. So, I
really need some dates to hang a hat on to determine which Samuel is
Noel's father.
Jean
