MARY CHANNELL - JAMES NAYLOR WED SUNDAY
McConnelsville, OH -- Announcement is being made of the marriage of James Robert Naylor,
of McConnelsville, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Ball Naylor, of Malta and Miss. Mary Edith
Channell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Channell of Jackson, Ohio which was solemnized
Sunday (Nov 30, 1941) at noon, at Ashland, Ky. The single ring ceremony was used.
The groom is a graduate of Malta high school, was overseas in the first World War. He
holds a responsible position with the Ohio Power company here.
The bride is a graduate of the Jackson high school and of Rio Grande College. She is
employed as supervisor of employment with the WPA over seventeen counties.

JAMES ROBERT NAYLOR
James Robert Naylor, 79, of Malta, died at 9:24 P.M. Monday at Good Samaritan Medical
Center where he had been admitted Thursday. (Oct 31, 1977)
A former deputy sheriff in Morgan County, Mr. Naylor was born December 27, 1897 in Morgan
County, the son of the late Dr. James Ball and L. Villa Naylor.
An army veteran of both World Wars he was a retired lineman for the Ohio Power Company and
for five years was the Morgan County Veteran's Service Officer.
He was a member of Webb Lodge F&AM, FOE, American Legion, DAV, VFW and Veterans of
World War I.
Surviving are his wife, the former Edith Channell, and two sisters, Mrs. Jean Finley of
Clovis, Cal,. and Miss. Lucille Naylor of Malta.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. today at Fisher Funeral Home in McConnelsville where
Eagles services will be held at 8 P.M. and Masonic services at 8:30 P.M.
The body will then be taken to Eisnaugle Funeral Home at Jackson where friends may call
after 2 P.M. Thursday Services will be 1 P.M. Friday at Eisnaugle Funeral Home with burial
in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.
