CORRECTIONS:
1. Norval is supposed to be spelled N-o-r-v-E-l in both the father and
son's name.
2. The son's middle name on his birth certificate is spelled O-L-A-N-D.
However, it was supposed to be Olen, which is the name he went by all of
his life. Didn't know it was spelled incorrectly on the certificate for
several years and until he had to have a copy of it for something.
3. The last name of Swicker (my mother) in the article is misspelled. It
should read: S-w-E-c-k-e-r.
4. Cynthia's middle name was Elizabeth.
NOTE: I know my grandmother may not be a descendent of or connected to
the families on this site. I'm posting it here though in the hopes, since
she was a Randolph County, WV native and many of you have ties there, that
someone may recognize some of the names mentioned and have some information
regarding them. The Harris name in particular as little is known about
that side of the tree. If you do have any info or stories to tell (factual
or otherwise) please contact me at my email addresses listed in the members
section of this site.
Thank you,
Joyce Swecker
