Greenberry Chaney and Elizabeth were parents of Rev. Edward Chaney b. 1745 Md. d. Jan 1813
Ohio m. Dorcas Evans b. 1745 Md. d. 1822 Highland, Ohio. Their children were: Lewis,
Evan, Joseph, Edward, Ben, Thomas, Prisilla, Dorcus, Nancy or Charity.
Edward and Gilbert Chaney were brothers. Their sister, Nellie, married Jermia Duval (not
the Dufal that brought the families to Pa. from Md.)
I do feel that John L.'s middle name was Lewis. One of his great grandsons also has
the middle name of Lewis.
