Yes, I am and I used to eat/drink at Henkel's with (if I remember correctly)
your Mom and Dad. I believe her name was Marge and his was John. She worked
with Rose Sargent Boyce at telephone company, who was a best girlfriend of
mine, and I worked for Maryland State Police, so knew John from the fire company.
Hackley's in Annapolis Juncetion may be Phyllis Hackley (children: Pat,
Ronnie, Rickie, Larry, Bruce). Phyllis had been married to my Mom's (Genevieve
Hackley Suter) brother (Nelson Hackley.) Also in AJ was Sam & Anna Hackley
(children: Leo and Glen)
My boys were Terry, Larry and Jerry Rushing.
It seems to me there was a Georgianna (but I'm not sure of last name) living
across from the Brick Methodist Church way back when. The family I saw the
Chaney census on was named Martin and they lived across from the Brick
Methodist Church back in the 1800s. (not sure of exact year but have it somewhere.)
And don't give up if Georgianna was born out of wedlock. I was too! Got my
computer in 1999 and in 2001 had solved that mystery (altho' he was deceased)
met a sister (who lives in Clarksville, VA) by him and his 3rd wife (also
deceased), and have been to the Morris family reunions in Pulaski, Va a couple of
times before the gal organizing them moved to WV and they discontinued having
them.. In 2000 while searching for great grandfather & family, I put a
message on Morris board, and two years later received a response from Naples, FL
from a lady who said she believed her husband's great grandfather and mine were
the same -- we exchanged information and sure enough -- it all tied in. We
still have contact and share information
Maybe some of this will tie in since they lived next door to the Chaney's.
I just pulled Mr.Harvey Martin's file. I knew that somewhere in all that I
had seen a Georgianna --
The source was information I had sent to Harvey Martin (now deceased) and it
came from the 1947 Seniority List of Savage Mill ----- Georgianna Martin
started work October 25,1938 in Net Department.
He also was connected to Dove family and had a list attached that has a
George W. Dove @1833, Georgianna Dove @1868, Laura L. _Dove@1863_
(mailto:Dove@1863) , Mary E _Dove@1834_ (mailto:Dove@1834) , Mary L. _Dove@1862_
(mailto:Dove@1862) and Susan A. _Dove@1865_ (mailto:Dove@1865) All homes in l870
Rockville, Montg., MD all born in Maryland The listing was from
Ancestry.com June 12,
2005 Database 1870 United States Federal Census. (C. Harvey Martin's
grandparents were
Clinton T. Martin and Mary L. Dove, m Feb 24, 1884)
I have another handwritten note from phone conversation with C. Harvey Martin
that has the following:
*Georganna ("Aunt Georgi") married *Samuel Edward Wilson lived with her
daughter in Bird River, MD, Edna McGraw, outside of Belair, MD. (*used Edward
Wilson)
*Georganna (sister of C. Harvey Martin's Grandmother, Mary L. Dove Martin.)
Married in
Savage Dec. 22, 1889 by W. H. Bell, minister (Brick Methodist Church)
Hope it helps a little. Wish ya luck.
Helen
