I have an Ida May Chaney in my files, born 1873, md John Rutherford Robinson.
She was d/o John Madison Chaney (some have him as James Madison Chaney) and
Elizabeth Ann Brown.
Ida May had a brother named Alexander Lee Chaney (ALC?) and William Woodford
Chaney (could be Bill or BC?) I don't see any evidence of a VY, but I saw in
another post that the pictures were taken in Madill or Ardmore. Alexander Lee
Chaney was killed in a train accident in Madill, OK.

My husband is the great grandson of Ida May Chaney Robinson. We have in our
possession an old photo with only initials on it. It appears to be of a mother,
her adult daughter, and a small boy (approx 3 years old). The photo was taken
around 1914-1918, I believe. The initials on the back are Al. C; B.C. and V.Y.
I think the two "Cs" might be Chaneys; I have no idea about V.Y. I have combed
our family data, and can't find anything. Does anybody researching Chaneys have
any ideas? Thanks for your help.
Kathy Morton Robinson
