COSHOCTON: A Memorial Service for David Chaney of Coshocton will be
held at 6:00 PM Wednesday February 1, 2012 at the Criss-Schoedinger
Funeral Home. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County
Veteran's Alliance.
David was born on February 5, 1941 in Coshocton to the late Albert
and Martha (McKnight) Chaney-Kaufman. He died Saturday January 28,
2012 in his home surrounded by his family. He was 70 years old.
He was a member of the Conesville HS class of '58 and enlisted in the
US Navy. He retired from AK Steel (Cyclops, Coshocton Stainless).
David loved golfing, woodworking, and spending quality time with his family.
David is preceded in death by his son Bryan Chaney; and his brother
Thomas Chaney. He is survived by his wife Susan (Strasser) whom he
married on October 17, 1970; daughters April Chaney, Shannon (Adam)
Huntsman of New Albany; sons, Dave Chaney of Utah and Bob (Amanda)
Chaney; very special brother and best friend John (Debbie) Strasser;
as well as dear cousin Karen (Dave) Farley; eleven grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; his brother Richard (Betty) Chaney and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville
St one hour prior to the services on Wednesday, or go to
