FRAZEYSBURG: Edwin C. Chaney, 83 of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday evening, July 22, 2013
at Select Specialty Hospital.
Ed was born May 28, 1930 in Coshocton County, Ohio to the late Emmett and Lizzie (Rine)
Chaney.
He operated a magneto repair business from his home for many years.
He worked as an oil field worker for many years for Fallsburg Supply.
He had also worked for buckeye Supply and the Licking County, Ohio Highway Dept.
He also belonged to the Wakatomika Lodge #108 F&AM and was a Past Master. Coshocton
Council #110, Utica Shrine, Aladdin Temple and Scottish Rite in Columbus, Teheran Grotto
in Newark, UCT Council #274, Coshocton Moose Lodge #935, Old Timers Licking County
Athletic League, Law Enforcement Alliance of America.
He is survived by his special sweetie Maddie Selders of Frazeysburg, OH; children, Ken
Chaney, Kirk (Kathy) Chaney, Kathy (Denny) Stewart all of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Keith
(Kristy) Chaney of Newark, Ohio, Nancy (Rick) Conkle, Don (Becky) Selders, Chuck (Audrey)
Selders all of Coshocton, OH; brother, Joseph (Gertrude) Chaney of Dresden, Ohio; sisters,
Mary McCoy of Dresden, Helen Pigman and Eleanor Miller both of Coshocton; grandchildren,
Kris Chaney, Rob (Kelly) Chaney, Dawn (Jarrod) McClain, Ryan (Mindy) Harris, Kenny
(Natalie) Chaney, Beth (Jason) Braddock; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ila (Moran) Chaney,
October 24, 2001; sister, Edith Marie Chaney.
Calling hours will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Frazeysburg
Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 110 West Third Street.
Masonic Services will be held Thursday evening at 6:30pm.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, July 26, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Karl
Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
