Dave
Has anyone looked in the William & Annis Chandler book for you. It would take
some time because there are so many Johns but I will look through it unless someone
already has. I have the book & as you probably already know it was printed in 1872
& then reprinted again in 1883 so I would have to look for his father. I would be
looking to see if any John Chandler or any Chandler for that matter ended up in WA.

Thank you so much for looking in your family history book.
My biggest problem is that I don't have much information.
My father Joe did or could not remember much of anything about his childhood.
He stated that he was born in Spokane, WA. Sept. 09,1899, Fathers name
according to Joe's marriage application was A.J. Chandler, but according to his
S.S. application, his father's name was John J. Chandler. He stated that he was
an only child as his mother died when he was age 03 (1902-1903) in WA. They
may have had relatives in Yakima as he said he traveled with his father by
wagon to that county. He remembered that he was in Spokane in 1910 when Haley's
comet appeared. He left home at age eight, and was raised by an Aunt, but I
have no idea what her given or surname name was. I am thinking that she may
have been married to a Chandler though, because Joe said his Uncle was in W W l
and served in Europe. Joe was of age to be signed up for the W W l draft,
but I have found no record.
I have posted to Chandler/Genweb several times and had an experienced
researcher check court house records and historical documents without a hit.
Thanks again for your
interest,

Checked my Descendants of George & Jane Chandler book with no luck, but if
in that line would probably need to know his father's and/or mother's name to
find in book.
