In searching for my father Joe B. Chandler b. 09/09/1899 Spokane, I ran
across the Hutton Home for homeless children. Although my father would have
been too old to belong to this home, it strikes me that a woman by the name
of Ida (Post) Chandler was a matron of the dormitory. Ida M. Post was married
to Adonirum Judson Chandler and it is a coincidence that my father has A.J.
Chandler noted as his fathers name on Joe's marriage application.
Through the great help of Jo Ann Gemmrig & Raymond Fisher of the Eastern
Washington Genealogical Society. They found this family of Chandler's lived
in Pleasant Prairie Twp. and were buried in the Moran Cemetery.
Adonirum J. Chandler, d. Apr. 20, 1912, b.Moran Cemetery 1-81-B
Floyd J. Chandler, d. June 10, 1922, b. Moran Cemetery 3-81-B
Nina Chandler, d. Oct. 25, 1906, b. Moran cemetery 4-81-B
Ida M. Chandler, 1857 - 1948.
I have often wondered if the Floyd Chandler was actually my father. This is
about the same time my dad left Washington for California. Do you think it
would have been possible to have had a grave site and not have been buried
there?
How would I find this out for sure?
In any case it seems there might be a connection between Ida & A.J. Chandler
to my father.
