I found none of these names in George Chandler's genealogy of the descendants of
William and Annis Chandler. There were a couple of Enos Chandlers, but not
yours. Too bad. One had a son who was an artist with a travelling saloon. I'm
not sure what that might entail, but it sounds like a fun family to be from--far
from maybe would be best.
It sounds as though your Enos might be of the Duxbury, MA, Chandlers, and
perhaps the Soule would be a descendant of George Soule, the Mayflower
passenger. There were marriages between the Chandlers and Soules in Duxbury and
some Chandlers and others removed to Maine when land got scarce and expensive
around Plymouth.
