Go to the published by AICS book Maine 1810 Census Index.
Look up Chandlers.
See if there's any Chandlers in that particular town in 1810. Maybe yes,
maybe no.
If yes, go to whatever institution has microfilm reels on all the Censuses,
& look the family(ies) up.
You're looking for a family with a female child under 5 years old.
If you don't have local access to census reels, let me know. I live/work
near NARA in Waltham MA.
Or you can go directly to the Maine Historical Society and ask about
research assistance at the library there. They have great town histories,
local works, including Maine Families in the 1790 Census, and the Maine
microfilm reels.
Unless you're close to a lot of good sources, don't muck around time-wise.
Getting some information now usually enables you to push your lines back
farther and faster than if you tried to do it all.
