Glen,
It would be beyond my wildest dreams if you found something on my
father Pre1928. I have searched for many-many years to find his birth place
and parents. He was born 09/09/1899 (112 years ago) he said, in Spokane
Washington. No records have been found for Joe Buster Chandler before 1928 at
which time he moved to California and was found in the city directories. In
1930 he marrried my Mom Winora Gilson.
His Social Security application in 1937 states that his mother's
maiden name was "Unknown". Fathers name listed as John J. Chandler. Marriage
application in 1930 states that his father was A. J. Chandler. He said that
his father was from Des Moines, Iowa. The 1930 Census states both parents
were from Michigan. His mother died when Joe was three years of age abt.1902.
He originally said that she was from England.
He also stated that he witness seeing Hailey's comet in Spokane in
1910, so I guess he was there, but as I said, I have found no records.
Only two Joe's found in Washington on census;
1910 Spokane Co. Washington census;
Joe Chandler b. 1903 d. B/F 1984.

===================
1920 Pacific Co. Washington census;
The listing of a Joseph B. Chandler residing in Nahcotes Prct., Pacific
County, Washington ( Nahcotta, Pacific Co, Washington.) on the 1920 census,
was thought to be my Joseph Buster Chandler. It states his birth date as
1895 Illinois.
Father b. Indiana. Mother b. Iowa.
It appears he may have been a foreman farm worker for Cammacho's.
However this Joseph B. Chandler died prior to my father, so has been
proven NOT to be my Joe.
