Hi ! Joy,
Thank you for your response on Levi & May Hutton.
My interest in them was due to a search for my father Joe B. Chandler b.
1899. Joe was (I believe) orphaned in 1902/1907. I thought that Joe may have
been raised in one of the farm homes in Spokane, such as the Hutton's. I
have since found that the Hutton's farm did not open until 1910, at which time
my father would have been 10/11 years of age. However I have never been able
to find a list of inmates. The interesting point of the Hutton's Home was that
a woman named Ida Chandler was a matron of the dormitory. My father
documented that his father's name was either John J. or A. J. Chandler of Spokane.
The person, Ida Chandler was married to was an A. J. Chandler, but I have never
been able to connect my father to that family.
Best regards;

Did you ever find him in the 1910 census? I saw your posting on a
RootsWeb site that listed him. I used to live at the Settlement. Do you
know how to find the Settlement in the census reports? I've never been
able to do that. Thank you for your time. Oh--You can find Levi and May
in the 1910 census in Spokane. If you'll type in May Hutton you'll find
them. Sometimes the only way to find a couple is to enter the female name.
Don't know why.
