Thanks to those who reponded to my inquiry.
Things get "curiouser and curiouser".
Reviewing several sources, this is what I find on William Chandler:
He was born 1595, and died either 19 Jan. 1641/2 or 19 June 1641
He married 1st Alice Thorogood (or Thurgood) in 1621.
He married second 6 Nov 1625 Ann/Annie/Agnes/Anmer/Annis/Hannah whose
surname was either Bayford (daughter of Francis) or it was Hooker (sister
of the Rev. Thomas Hooker and widow of George Alcock).
Ann/Annie/Agnes/Anmer/Annis/Hannah Chandler married second (or 3rd), 2 July
1643, John Dane; and third (or 4th), 1660, John Parmenter. She died 15
Mar.,1683.
Among children were Thomas who married Hannah Brewer; and Hannah who
married 1st, George Abbott and 2nd, Francis Dane (of Salem witch trial
fame).
At least I got my questioned answered: Thomas was the son of the second not
the first marriage.
Now, would someone please tell me what we REALLY know?
Help!
Bert
