Hello Diane
The most authoritative information I have seen about American-born Florie
Chandler, the wife of Jack the Ripper suspect James Maybrick, is at
http://www.casebook.org/suspects/james_maybrick/maybrick.html
I know nothing of the affair with Henry Flinn to which you refer, though it
seems that this would not be out of character.
I am doing a One-Name Study of the Chandler name, so I would be grateful to
know of any other information you may have about Florie.

Subject: [CHANDLER] FLORENCE CHANDLER (WIFE OF SO CALLED JACK THE RIPPER)
Dear List,
I am looking for any information on Florence Chandler (wife of so called
JACK THE
RIPPER). The reason that I am interested in her is because she had
an affair with one of my husband's relations HENRY STANLEY FLINN. I am
trying to find the family of their illegitimate son William. William was
adopted by a family called GRAHAM in Hartlepool Durham United Kingdom.
Her married name was MAYBRICK, her husband was James Maybrick.
In the 1881 census, the GRAHAM family were living at
7 York Pl
Hartlepool
Durham
England
Florie was born in 1862 and Henry in 1858. Henry was a ship owner. He
was the
Director of The Dominion and Mississippi Steam Ship Company that was
registered in Liverpool
Hoping that someone can help me in this matter.
Thank you very much.

Diane Sowden
