CHANDLER, Sarah, b. c 1605 in England, was the daughter of Edmund CHANDLER.
She purportedly married Moses SIMMONS/SIMONSON/SYMONDS on May 22, 1627
although I can not find a reference that gives the wife's surname.
The marriage date for Moses comes from Torrey's "New England Marriages" as
well as "The Ancestry of John Simmons" by Henry Rowe, although I am uncertain
as to the factual status of this reference. The book regarding the Simmons
line is where the surname Chandler for Sarah is noted.
Since this couple are my 10th great grandparents, I would like to determine
if this information, that seems to appear in various places, has any factual
basis. Has anyone researched this to any great extent and made any
determinations?
It is understood that some facts will never be known. They were not
recorded and almost 400 years later we have to just accept what earlier experts have
noted. But I would like to be certain I have as much information as
possible before doing this as the previous generation, that of Sarah's parents,
would depend on these facts.
Thanks for any help anyone can give on this subject.
