I also have a Chandler link in my line of the Burns clan. The Chandlers were
quakers in Pa, then Ohio. Their family went back to George Chandler and Jane
Smith who were the first of their line, (Other Chandlers landed elsewhere at
different times), their family who sailed from England with their family to
land in Chester County, Pa. George died of small pox while in route abord
the ship "Margaret". His widow and children then landed on Jan 28, 1688. The
Chandler line has been researched and in several books, going back to the 1200s
in Nornamdy France. Where the surname was spelled "Le Chaundeler" prior to
being changed to Chandler, while in England, where they lived for about 400+
years before setting sail to North America. Are you connected to this Chandler
Line?
Hi ! Don,
I WISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been looking for any CHANDLER family in the Spokane County,
Washington area that had a son named JOE in 1900. This is my father, Joseph Buster
Chandler born 1899.
He may have lived in or had relatives in Yakima County. Joe said he lived
in Spokane until the early 1920's, at which time he migrated to San Diego,
California. however I have not been able to locate
him on the 1900, 1910 or 1920 census. I am just hoping to find someone who
might have a document or bible that pertains to a Joe Chandler who left home
at the age of eight and lived with ??? in Spokane or Yakima County,
Washington.
Any clues, please contact,
