Linda,
Thank you for your reply. I know they should have been there in 1880 census. That was
towards the last of the Civil War and many of the courthouses were burned during that
time. I think that it is during this time that any documents that had them in them got
burned.
I am just loosing my family all the way around because of no documentation.
Thank you again.

Hi Beverly-
Sorry, most of my folks were in Va. I don't have any info on the MO
Chandlers. However, I did a quick search on ancestry for Samuel and his brother
Oliver in the 1880 census. They should have been there in the 1880, but I came
up with nothing.
Good luck in your search.
Linda

I have been trying to follow your Samuel's. I have a Samuel that the
information I have says he was born in Greene Co., MO. He also has a brother Oliver
Newton Chandler that was born there. They were born 1870 and 1877
respectively. We have information from the funeral home on Samuel that says his father
was Jack. We don't know if this is a real name or a nickname. The documents
are almost unreadable on where he was born but it looks like it is KY.
Do any of you have any information or leads that I might be able to get more
information on "Jack". I am from both lines (long story) but I have not been
able to go back any futher than Jack. Samuel also went by Henry. Different
places I can find Samuel and Oliver Newton but never together or with Jack..
It is said that Jack was married to Sarah Williams but I also don't have
anything solid on that. I have seen in the Dawes Roll a Sarah Chandler with
Samuel or Oliver.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,
